Why did you join AALLc?

I joined AALLc because I had an interest in Asian law (particularly Chinese law) that I had developed after college, and I wanted to continue to foster it. I also really liked that it was a relatively small caucus, so it would give me a chance to get to know other members.

What do you do as a law librarian?

I'm head of research & instructional services at Stanford Law School. Basically, anything to do with reference, research, or instruction -- I manage it.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

We have some very enthusiastic younger librarians here who are great to work with. And, Stanford has some great Asian collections.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Hiking with my dogs. :)

What is your favorite travel destination (Asia or otherwise!)?

Anywhere I haven't been before!

What are you most excited about as the 2019-2020 Chair of AALLc?

All the new committee members, and hopefully creating some institutional memory for future chairs.

What one recommendation do you have for new members of AALLc?

Find a mentor.
