1. Why did you join AALLc?
I am an Asian American and have the subject interests in Chinese and
American comparative law. AALLC provides the venue for me to meet Asian
American law librarians and other ethnic law librarians who are
interested in Chinese law and the opportunities to exchange research
ideas on legal research on foreign, comparative, and international law. I
have benefited by receiving motoring from several retired and senior
members of AALLC for my professional growth.
2. What do you do as a law librarian?
I have been the Director of Technical Services and Lecturer in Law at
Washington University School of Law for many years. I manage the
Technical Services Department, provide reference services, and teach a
legal research class. I also research and publish on Chinese law. I have
also participated in professional association activities, such as AALL,
AALLC, and CAFLL (Chinese and American Forum on Legal Information and
Libraries).
3. What do you enjoy most about your job?
The job I enjoy most is to research and teach the subject of legal research while I am also enjoying all arears of my job.
4. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Going to the small group for the Bible studies in Friday night, going to
church to worship God in Sunday, and traveling to enjoy nature beauties
and historical sites.
5. What is your favorite travel destination in Asia or other parts of the world?
China, Italy and Turkey.
