Reference Librarian at Elon University School of Law.

1.  Why did you join AALLc?

I joined AALLc to support AALL and meet other Asian-American law librarians.

2.  What do you do as a law librarian?

My job duties include providing reference and research services to students and faculty, as well as teaching first year legal research.  I also head the government documents program.

3.  What do you enjoy most about your job?

Teaching is one of my favorite responsibilities.  Elon is a smaller school, so I have had the opportunity to work closely with groups of students in their legal research classes.  It is so rewarding to see students grow over the course of the semester and beyond.

4.  What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

North Carolina is a great state for outdoor activity throughout the year.  I enjoy biking, jogging, and exploring the area.  I also spend time reading (surprise!), cooking and baking, and crafting.  Traveling is a hobby that I would like to devote more time to and I keep a running list of places that I want to see.

5.  What is your favorite travel destination in Asia or elsewhere in the world?

I was born in India, so I always love going back there to visit extended family.  Aside from that, I hope to return to Spain.  I was lucky enough to visit five years ago and am more than ready to head back!
